SLIDELL, LA

Slidell is on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, nestled in the southeastern tip of St. Tammany Parish. Surrounded by rivers and bayous, Slidell is the largest municipality in the parish, growing from a population of 364 in 1890 to over 32,000 today. Slidell is a city that values urban planning and growth, but reveres its heritage,, merging the present with the past while nurturing its ever growing population.  

Slidell boasts a burgeoning business community as well as a nationally ranked school system and a full social calendar, with community activities from Mardi Gras parades and balls to the annual St.Tammany Parish Trade Fair and theatrical performances. When you come for a visit, put the exquisite Antique District at the top of your things to do list, and enjoy the Antique Street Fair held in April and October.
